This is for those afraid to find themselves amidst the chaos
For those whose dreams rely on infected mushrooms
And for those who never thought they could be anymore than the criminal they were convicted of
Believe
This is for the kid left at the gas station curb
and the middleaged man still playing video games
This is for the people that can only live through a fabric of lies
And for the girl who searches for love, but won't love herself
Believe
This is for the washed up teacher trying to sell inspiration imitations
For those blind with sight, fine with melancholy, and enslaved by reality
Believe
Believe in the fantasy.
Believe in the truth that there is something more
Believe that you could step out of the door and become new
Believe that it is not too late for you
...Believe
Haven't you ever thought about living the dream?
Haven't you ever wandered if there was something more?
I have

I've though about it so hard that's all I think about now

But you don't seem to
It seems you're just fine with life
And that blows my mind the most

Troubles riddle the Earth into ruins
The always will
But you never let it show
Never let the curtains open

How?

How can one hold all of that in?
Wouldn't sanity slip away so easily?
Perhaps just dust in the wind

But what does that make me?
A turning of a page?
An obstacle? What?

I keep forgetting to remember that it all doesn't really matter
I keep forgetting that you want me to be here for you
And just because of that, the future shouldn't matter

But I find myself wondering if you're just wandering
Am I wandering with you?
Pssshhh! When will we own ourselves completely?

...What's the fun in that?
The light is truly just living in the moment
I know that, but why don't I believe it?

You know what, I will wander with you
And tonight will not be the last night I see the light!

Film Analysis

Ordinary World
Young Triston tries to woe his girl with flowers, unfortunately fails, gets laughed at, and gets hit around a few times. "You were always useless at fencing Triston...In fact, I'm having trouble remembering if there was anything you were good at." Then the next day the chick takes advantage of him and gets him fired at his job. "Father, I lost my job." Basically, the town loser.
Call
The king in Stormhold challenges his sons to a competition to be heir to the throne. "Only he of royal blood can restore the Ruby, and the one of you that does so shall be the new king of Stormhold." For some reason that ruby hits a star out of the sky and sends it tumbling to Earth. Triston and Victoria see it and he promises to retrieve it for her. "Victoria, for your hand in marraige, I'd cross the wall and bring you back that falling star."
Refusal
He gets beat up by the old man guarding the wall. "Nobody crosses the wall you know that...Off you go."
Tests Allies and Enemies
Triston's parents help get him to the star with a magical candle. He finds the 'star' and chains her to him, then they begin their journey back. Meanwhile a witch goes on a hunt for the star to cut out her heart and eat it, to get younger obviously. And the two princes that are left also hunt for the star. The Star gets escapes from Triston and he has a vision to go save her. He teams up with one of the princes and walks right into the witch's trap. The Prince doesn't make it. But the magical candle saves the star and him, and somehow they end up in the clouds. They obviously get picked up by a floating pirate ship that collects lightning in storms. The Captain is a real jerk and threatens to kill Triston and take the star as his own. Fortunately he is quite dainty and was just putting a show on for his manly crew. They fake Triston's death, give him a makeover and pretend he's the Captain's nephew.
Mentor
The Captain teaches Triston how to be a man, various things like fighting, flying floating ships, and slow-dancing. The Star and Triston start falling in love, so of course she grows bright. The captain figures out who she is and warns her. The Captain drops them off and they continue on their journey.
Approach
They're almost a day away from crossing the wall. They try to hitch a ride with an amateur witch. The witch can't see or hear the star, so she turns Triston into a mouse and their on their way. The star bears her heart to the mouse, and Triston hears it. They make out ect. ect. and now it's the next morning.
Ordeal
Triston brings Victoria some of the star's hair, but he learns that once any of the star crosses the wall it turns to dust. Triston's mom barely saves the star from crossing the wall. But then they get taken by the witch to go to her evil lair. Triston shows up at the lair, and meets up with the last prince. The prince dies, but Triston manages to take out the witch's two sisters.
Reward
Turns out that Triston's mom is the King's daughter, and since Triston is related, he restores the Ruby and becomes king, with the star by his side.
Road Back
They travel to Stormhold and are crowned, the movie doesn't actually show them going back it just implies it.
Resurrection
Turns out those who posses the heart of a star (which Triston did) live forever. They lived to see their grandkids grow old.
Return with Elixir
They use a magic candle to go back to the Star's original home, so now they're both stars. They both live forever with each other and get to watch the world go by.

Forgive-Them-Not

I definitely forgive...
Though, I have a difficult time articulating,
I definitely want to say, I understand
At first, I can hear myself giving in,
10 seconds later I'm helping them
Being the Good Samaritan

I have a message for the people that I have forgiven
They SUCK

Me having a good consciousness is me getting run over by a car
For what they did?
I still have stitches in both legs, but I say I'm happy to be able to walk
I never remember being shattered, just what it felt like
Thanks again :)

Prison

Life... I don't want to be pessimistic, it's just I'm so good at it. I try so hard everyday to reach my dreams, it just doesn't seem to work. And it's not like my dreams are that out there, you know? I mean I just want a job... You know, so I can finally maybe buy a cell phone, perhaps a new ukulele or an upgrade from the original xbox to a 360... I mean these are simple wants right, but why do they seem unreachable? I just want these things to make life a little more bearable... It seems as if everyone around me has these things, why not me?

Perhaps I should just give up? But then what? I might as well die!... But am I really not living if I'm not chasing cars everyday? I don't know... I suppose I've already tried giving up, it doesn't help that much.

Sigh, it just seems that this life feels more like a prison.

But if I were to break out? Break out to what? What would that mean? Winning the lottery or something... No, I think just getting back from the world what I put in it would be enough for me. To breath out, and then breath back in again. That sounds good to me. I don't think that would be as much as a prison right?...

I guess I will continue until I reach that paradise... I hope it comes soon

I'm Tired of you People

Seriously? You people disgust me...
Who are you? SHOW ME!
Sigh, fine... I didn't want to do this but...

because you are dead without them,
I am now putting you under DIRECT ORDERS TO ROCK

Rock out like you've just jumped out of a plane and are now falling at the speed of "Bring It On!!!"
Rock out because you're friggin' worth it
Rock out cause today is your day and you ain't ever going to regret it
Rock out because your fire will never be extinguished by the waves of time

Rock out like your finally holding her in your arms and you ain't never ever going to let go again

Rock out because Cancer has finally settled in, and you've got months before your foreclosure.
Rock out cause you care, and rock out because you don't
Rock out because you finally found another human being in Zombieland
Rock out cause its the BEST freakin' revenge to those who wish you ill

Rock out like you were when you were living, right before life got int the way

Rock out like you've got a gun pointed to your head and your life depended on it
...because it does

Death Is Coming...

Waiting. Watching. Where is he?

He's at least 10 minutes late. And I came a bloody hour early. But then again, he is a free-spirited one. He probably made his own path. Sigh, who's the one who made it so an individual can change his own fate?

Oh, That's right, I did.
Hey, I am death. How's it going? Horrible? If not you're a liar. The purpose of this life is to teach you something, for you to suffer, kind of like trying to breath underwater. Sure you have the optimists that tell you that life has many wonderful qualities. I agree, there's plenty of shiny fish down there, perhaps some beautiful quarrel, but your still drowning, even if it's an underwater paradise. You don't belong there.

Once you learn your lesson though, that's when I show up, I give you your first breath of real air. Though technically I guess I'm slitting your throat at the time, in the analogy it would be your first breath of air. But then you're free! No more worries, no more heartbreak. Freedom, peace, wonderfulness. All your dead relatives and friends are there to greet you, its great! Why are you all so afraid of this concept,
F-R-E-E-D-O-M!!!
That's the real definition of death.

But, then there's people like this guy, who's choices change all the time, and make me, wait...
But nevertheless, there he is now. His sweet freedom is so close. Oh and there's the bus, Smack!!!
Man this doesn't look good, but it is now my time to shine. Oh he sees me now, So much fear!
I am so underpaid.... SLICE

Huh...

I hate that in writing your trying to reach something and it feels like your grabbing something in the air, some thing that isn't there. The only way you know you've reached anything is if people tell you you did. I haven't had any comments on my blog until Nelson pointed out that for some reason I have a weird setting on my blog that I have to check all my comments in my email. I think I've fixed it, but wow, I have allot of comments. and now I plan to keep up with my posting, all the posts I don't have should be up by today, thanks

Broken Dreams Boulevard

This is my Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I walk alone, I walk alone. I have to watch my steps now because the tree roots are beginning to tear up the road. There used to be people staring down through the building windows at me, now it is only the strangling branches of life. There is no one here but me. I walk alone, I walk alone.

I can see through a shop display my old grand piano, it too is run over by plant life. But I can hear music and people inside the shop, I want to join them, to get in. I can't. The building is locked and I continue on. I walk alone, I walk alone.

The road soon forks into two, and on the right, I can almost see through the mist a girl, playing the guitar and singing quietly to herself. I watch her for a moment and then turn to the left road. I walk alone, I walk alone.

Soon, down this road I find that the shops are more lively. As I peer through the store windows there are great stories taking place inside them, masterpieces even. But one by one, the characters in each tale soon freeze and stare at me, waiting. I move on. I walk alone, I walk alone.

The clouds get darker, and it begins to rain. The puddles form in my destroyed road. As I'm walking I avoid a large puddle... But as soon as I have successfully passed it, I turn around and slam my feet into it. The water sprays my face and I smile. I walk alone, I walk alone.

The buildings on the road eventually begin to deteriorate to nothing. The broken road ends in a small circle, with a yellow sign in the middle that says, DEAD END. I go to the center of the circle and sit crossed-legged, waiting. Alone.

Thinkin' About You!

Its hard to think about what I'm going to do or say when I ask you to homecoming.
I found this little card at Walmart with weird bunnies on it, but on the front it said
"I'm Thinkin' About You!"

I laugh to myself, I am thinkin' about you...
In fact, I'm thinkin' about you just like all these cards think about being cheesy
Just like a spinny-hug thinks about being queasy

And like a teenager thinks about catching those free Z's

Heck girl I'm thinkin' about you like ukuleles think about beaches
Like tastebuds think about those sweet Macana peaches
And just like women think about going back to Venus

Girl, I tell ya, I'm thinkin' about you so much I don't know what to do
I'm thinkin' I'm maybe thinkin' about falling in love with you
I really hope your thinkin' about me too

What is Love?

Love is capturing the moment, and then holding on to it. Love is learning to play an instrument.
Love is wandering your way through the shadows to find the light. And love is being lostLove is a wish, a hope, and a curse. Love is a 240 Ton freight train barreling at 80 Miles-Per-Hour and will not be stopped. Love is The Force, there's a good side and a bad.

Love, is in the rain. Love is a teardrop or two.
Love is a prison while at the same time a paradise. Love is dancing when there's no music and crying because of joy. Love is the opposite of the rest of the world. Love is whatever someone makes of it. So, love is all yours. Embrace it.

On Writing

I'd say in the world of writing, that there are two milestones that every adventurer must overcome to be great.

First, if your a writer, then write! I've met too many stinking writers that either don't show me anything they've written, or they haven't written anything at all, usually both. Almost every successful creator that I've ever met, not only has an idea journal, but actually has good ideas inside of it. A writer, truly, is just an observer of life. Inspiration for your writing is everywhere, in fact, your breathing inspiration right now. The key that makes a writer separate from everyone else is paying attention, and then writing it down. Basically, search for the reasons and motives behind the world, try to make some sort of a metaphor out of everything. And then, the most important thing, the part that separates the man from the wimp, is writing it down. You think your a big macho guy and that you'll be able to remember something because it was so awesome, well guess what, you won't! DON'T ARGUE YOU'RE NOT AN ELEPHANT! So... Write it down. Then hey who knows, maybe a fantastically sweet character or a whole story will come from a little, small observation. So take this... "Inspiration Book" EVERYWHERE. Make it small enough that it isn't cumbersome, but not small enough that it feels ridiculous to write in. Use it everywhere. The best times to write in this inspiration book will actually be the times that you would usually be bored during the day. For instance, on a bus or sitting in a particularly easy class. Any time is a good time, in fact, all the time is a good time!

The second milestone that every writer has to overcome, allot, is the infamous Writers Block. The biggest mistake that writers make when they are gathering ideas to get out of Writers block is that they find themselves in an empty room staring at the ceiling. I mean, I can see this when you already have ideas and need a place for peace and quiet concentration, but for gathering new ideas? Its the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Like I said before, inspiration is all around you, embrace it. But oh no, here comes another problem, say you take my advice, but all the sudden your getting inspiration for a Comedy Romance when originally you were writing an intense Sci-fi. So? your saying you'd rather shun inspiration so you can write one thing at a time? Good luck. But in my opinion, you'll come back to the sci-fi. take what the inspiration the world gives you and regurgitate it into several stories that are awesome, instead of just one.

Amen.

Welcome to my world...

I am the Exile.

This site is dedicated to those with mouths sewn shut,
To those who are blinded by their sight,
And to those who are slaves to reality.

This site is to move you.
To bring you out from under the waves,
To make you realize what you can't see,
And to make you breathe in the fantasy.

This is why I am the exile
Because sad pathetic little normality isn't interesting enough by itself.
